Tour Description

In this tour we will travel to these historical and most popular cities of Turkey and Iran:
Istanbul: Istanbul is an enchanting city in Turkey, which is known for its rich and fascinating past when it used to be the center of history’s famous empires including the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman. With the influence of this cultural heritage, Istanbul has become a thriving city that most travelers choose to discover. With its 8,500-year history, Istanbul is so rich that there are too many things to do. There are few places in the world where you can see so many different historic works and Istanbul is one of them. Napoleon reportedly once said, “If the world was only one country, Istanbul would be its capital.”
Shiraz: The province of Fars, in southwestern Iran near the Persian Gulf, has played such a major role in the country's ancient history that it is considered the center of Iranian identity.
The city of Shiraz, Iran is more than 4000 years old.
Shiraz lies in Fars Province, a central area for Persian civilization. The massive ruins of the Persian Empire's grand palace Persepolis, about 2500 years old.
It is the town of roses, of nightingales, of love and, at one time, of wine. But above all, Shiraz is the town of poetry of Saadi and of Hafez.
Isfahan: Isfahan is one of the world’s most beautiful cities, an unforgettable international tourism destination popular all of over the world, an encyclopedia of Iranian and Islamic civilization, locally famous as half of the world. Isfahan presents the real Persian character, the most glorious in historical and architectural wealth. Monuments in Isfahan are great examples of our art and architecture.
Isfahan remains one of Iran's most beautiful cities and its monuments can be ranked among the most splendid of the Islamic world. The atmosphere in town is a relaxed one: this is a place to wander in, to get to know slowly, with its gardens, its river side, and its shopping streets.
Kashan: During the Seljuk period (AD 1051–1220) Kashan became famous for its textiles, pottery and tiles, reaching high levels of accomplishment in each of these cottage industries. Currently local textile artisans are enjoying something of a renaissance of interest in their work, but mechanization has largely led to the demise of this ancient craft. Today the town is more widely known as a major center for the production of rose water, which is sold at outlets around the main tourist attractions and at dedicated stores in the bazaar.
Tehran: Tehran, is the capital and largest city of Iran. The city is famous for its numerous resorts on the Alborz slopes, large museums, art centers, and palace complexes. Since its establishment as the capital city by Agha Mohammad Khan more than 200 years ago, Tehran has grown from a small city to a major metropolis: situated in an urban region of 14 million inhabitants, Tehran is Iran’s largest city and one of the most populous cities of the world.

Day 2: Discover Istanbul

After a restful night we start our Ayvansaray - Fener - Balat tour at 09:00. The areas of Fener, Balat and Fatih are rich in history and fascinating in their own rights. It feels like you’re travelling in time while making your way through their ancient, narrow streets that have been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The three districts are located within the old city walls, to the west of Eminönü, overlooking the Golden Horn. We walk through the streets and take photographs while our guide explains to us the interesting and multicultural history of this area. The Chora (Kariye) Museum is our next destination. Its magnificent mosaics and frescoes are no less than those of Hagia Sophia, in fact they are much more elaborate. It is, without a doubt, one of the most important historical monuments of Istanbul, an extraordinary example of Byzantine stylistic perfection. After the museum we see the famous Ayazma Church and we drink “the healing water” of Ayazma. After Balat now it is time to discover “Fener” (historic Greek neigbourhood). It is in the neighborhood of Fener where one of the most important centers of Christianity, the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, is situated. We visit the Patriarchate before lunch. We then drive for 30 minutes to the Galata Bridge. We have lunch here so we can continue to take great photographs of the fishermen and the Goldenhorn. After lunch, it is time to go shopping and take photographs of the colorful shops of the Grand Bazaar (Kapalı Çarşı). We then return to our hotel and get ready for a dinner outing.
